Epson recently unveiled the new photo printer from its Stylus series, the Photo R1900. The eight-ink printer boasts of printin photos on A3+ paper at 1440x720 dpi (dots per inch) in only 106 seconds. Supporting resolutions up to 5760x1440 dpi, the device offers direct photo printing from inputs such as digital cameras and photo-viewers, as well as dual USB 2.0 ports for multiple PC connections. Epson PictureMate PM270
Epson recently launched their latest portable photo printer, the PictureMate PM270. The device boasts of a print time of 37 seconds for a 4R lab-quality photo with support for upto 5760dpi, or dots per inch. Equipped with a tiltable 3.6-inch LCD screen and a battery pack, the gadget offers the ability to print on-the-go without the use of a PC, with an average cost of Rs 9 per 4R print. It comes with a slot that reads most common memory cards, and also is Bluetooth compatible in case a user wants to transfer images directly from his phone or some other wireless device. The printer is also equipped with a set of buttons for editing images on the screen. Retailed as a bundle, the device comes with 150 pieces of 4R photo paper and one ink cartridge, which is sufficient for the same 150 pieces. Epson Stylus CX8300
Epson’s two-tone black Stylus CX8300 is the company’s latest offering in the ‘all-in-one’ category of printing, scanning and copying. The device is equipped with a tiltable 2.5-inch LCD screen to directly view and edit images from memory cards or digital cameras, without the need for a PC.
The gadget boasts of a printing speed of 32 pages per minute – for both black and colour documents – at resolutions of up to 5760dpi (dots per inch), and is compatible with 4R printing. It can scan at resolutions of up to 1200dpi, with a copy speed of 30 copies per minute.
Packaged with cartridges and a software suite, the device retails at Rs 8,299 and $205.
